Build a Career in the Building Industry with The Prosperity Christian Resource and Community Housing Development Center's, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Education Program
What is HVAC? Wherever there is a residential or commercial building, there is a need for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Mechanics. HVAC mechanics install, maintain and repair all types of heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. What do you need to enroll in The Prosperity Christian Resource and Community Housing Development Center's, HVAC Education Program?

How long will it take to graduate? That is up to you. In The Prosperity Christian Resource and Community Housing Development Center's, HVAC Education Program you learn at your own pace. The average time of completion is 12 months. Students wishing to learn more technical skills take more time. What type of job can you expect as a HVAC Education Graduate? As a HVAC Education Graduate, you will have the entry-level skills needed to embark on a career in the HVAC trade. You may want to start out with an apprenticeship in HVAC. There will be many job possibilities as your HVAC skills will be in demand by general contractors, rehab contractors, subcontractors, commercial building owners and management companies, and residential homeowners.
What will be expected of you as a Student?
How much can you earn? Entry-level HVAC graduates, earn on average $9.00 to $12.00 an hour in their first job after graduation. Additional training through apprenticeships or on the job training will upgrade your skills and help expand your career options.
Is HVAC Education for you? A career as a HVAC mechanic is rewarding and very much in demand. The work can keep you physically active - bending, standing, climbing, and kneeling, are part of the job. HVAC mechanics work indoors and outdoors, and use heavy or rough materials, sharp tools and power equipment. Some HVAC mechanics will work for one employer for many years. Some may change employers each time they finish a job. Others, alternate between working for an employer and on their own.
