What is Landscaping? Landscaping is a skill dating back for centuries. Attractive, healthy, and well-maintained lawns and gardens create a positive first impression, establish a peaceful mood, and most important, increase property values. Landscapers are responsible for the variety of tasks necessary to make this happen. What do you need to enroll in The Prosperity Christian Resource and Community Housing Development Center's, Landscaping Education Program?

How long will it take to graduate? That is up to you. In The Prosperity Christian Resource and Community Housing Development Center's, Landscaping Program you learn at your own pace. The average time of completion is 12 months. Students wishing to learn more technical skills take more time. What type of job can you expect as a Landscaping Education Graduate? As a Landscaping graduate, you will have the entry level skills needed to begin a career in the landscaping field. You are on the road to becoming a landscape contractor! you may want to start out with an apprenticeship, a job as a landscape helper or nursery worker. Your landscaping skills will be in demand by land developers, nurseries, general and rehab contractors, as well as landscaping companies.
What will be expected of you as a Student?
How much can you earn? Entry-level Landscaping graduates, earn on average $8.00 to $12.00 an hour in their first job after graduation. Additional training through apprenticeships, college or on the job training will upgrade your skills and help expand your career options.
Is Landscaping Education for you? The work can keep you physically active - bending, standing, climbing and kneeling are part of the job.
