Innovative Kids Battle
The Prosperity Christian Resource and Community Housing Development Center's, Innovative Kids Battle, is a Building Construction program that introduces children to the construction industry. The goal of the program is to strengthen awareness and generate interest in future construction careers.
The Innovative Kids Battle Competition is non-discriminatory and is open to middle school students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grade. Only those students who complete entry forms that are received by the Competition Schedule deadline, will be considered as a contestant.
Phase I
Phase I of the competition involves a 1 page essay and poster contest based on a construction based topic that will be provided. Judging will result in the selection of the following:
Phase II Phase II of the competition involves a competition of all finalists participants. The competition involves the construction of a structure of the students choice and a 1 to 4 paragraph statement which explains what the structure is, what inspired them to construct the structure, and how the structure would benefit the community.
In Phase II of the competition, all finalist will be provided with writing tools and supplies for the essay and building supply kits for the construction part of the competition (things such as, small rocks or stones, blocks, string, foil, poster board, sticks, straws, glue, etc.).
